Pride and Fear
01:59
|

There was a time where I only knew comfort. When I walked through the door I knew I was home. From the love, from the care, the attention. It's gotten so much harder to want you next to me when We feel so far apart. Can we fix this after we tore it down? Can we mend this after all these years?
Take me back to that time and place, where the warmth was real and I could see your face (again).
Tear down pride, God, tear down fear.

Restore

I'll never forget waiting until we heard of your last breath, trying so hard to realize the weight that's been lifted
It's always over again, it's always running again, it's always pounding in my mind
I'll never give up on this hope
I'll never give up on this love
I'll never forget staring into your tear soaked eyes, hearing constant reminders of all the mistakes I've made and all the lives I've hurt
It's always over again, it's always running again, it's always pounding in my mind
Don't you know forgiveness that transcends all reality?
Don't you know the love that sinks in every heart?
Don't you know the King who restores all things?
It's always over again, it's always running again, it's always pounding in my mind
I'll never give up on this hope
I'll never give up on this love

Resolve, I think this has gotten far enough. I need it to conclude my thoughts
But I've gotten to a place where I confront reality, facts, and remain in vain habits
Throw me to my knees, saturate my heart with the truth that You are faithful, You never fail, I am one with You
Face to face with the one who holds and guides me, I allow myself to devour once again obsession and self dependency
Break my knees, force this truth down my throat - You overcome, You reign, I am one with you
Weak, but strong. Broken, but alive. No longer lost in darkness, but found by the light.
I was Ruined, now I'm restored.
And I am bound to the kingdom
Jesus help me. I believe, help my unbelief.
Jesus help me.

Conflict
03:23
|

Pain, I know it well
I've had enough of this throbbing emptiness to not be surprised
The heart striving to continue its pump through holes and rips and fears
So, greeted again not by an old friend but a fool who makes his way up my doorstep, I turn not to see him but familiar properties
Could it be? Was this me who ushered this darkness in?
This dim reality coerces me to a state of unbelief, apathy
Still a strong voice through the din of darkness beckons
"Fight, fight, you'll see Truth in the end."
"Fight, fight, you'll see Truth."
Fight myself? Fight me? God What could you possibly mean?
I could ignore this and be perfectly fine
I'll turn on my own lights and force them to pierce this night
Do I speak like a madman? Have I overestimated my own strength?
This feat is too terrible, too great
I must call upon a greater name
"Fight, fight, you'll see Truth in the end."
"Fight, fight, you'll see Truth."

Empty Words

So I guess we'll talk Of the weather and the jobs that fill our time
So will we ignore the cuts and bruises much longer?
Tear down the walls of pride, let me in and know that I will never judge
Tear down the walls of fear and disappointment of which have never crossed my mind
Tear down the walls, and let me in
So I guess we'll talk Of the weather and the jobs that fill our time
And I'll take your lead but I'll never believe you're fine
We can turn, we can walk together down the winding river of life
We can turn, you can put your hand in mine as we sprint towards the Throne
But I guess we'll talk of the weather and the jobs that fill our time.
And I'll take your lead, but I'll never believe you're fine
We will turn together
We will walk together
